 Tonje Kearney, Realtor®I have been involved in real estate and construction for as long as I can remember. I was born in Norway, where my father built his home building company from the ground up. That firm is now one of the biggest home builders in Norway. I learned how to draw architectural plans before I could even talk; so you can imagine where my influence is coming from. I moved to Phoenix in the summer of 2000 and almost immediately got into fixing up homes. Rehabbing homes quickly escalated into a higher desire to expand my knowledge in anything real estate. I have been and still am an avid investor that is always on the search for that next great investment, either for my clients or for myself. In the last few years I have focused more and more on working with clients, as I find immense pleasure in finding my clients their dream home. My husband and I also build custom homes, which have allowed me to expand my knowledge in the real estate industry even further. I follow the market trends closely, and always strive to keep myself as educated as possible in anything related to real estate. I currently reside in Cave Creek with my husband Justyn and our 3 dogs; my two Chihuahuas, Mimi and Rocco, and Marley our Weimaraner. Ever since Marley joined our household in the fall of 2005, our peaceful home has never quite been the same. We suspect the book 'Marley & Me’ was secretly written about our Marley! I also have a Thoroughbred gelding named Alazan that I ride 6 days a week and we compete regularly in the sport of 3-Day Eventing. I moved to the valley after graduating from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in the spring of 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management. I began working for Del Webb / Pulte Homes as a Construction Superintendent in the Master Planned Community of Anthem. In my 5 years working in Anthem I built well over 200 homes. It was a natural step for me to obtain my real estate license in 2003 after working in and around residential construction my entire life. In 2005 I decided to branch out on my own and build custom homes as well. I hold my residential general contractors license as well as my real estate license. As a Realtor® and a General Contractor, I offer a vast amount of awareness, knowledge, and understanding about all things real estate. Whether it be buying or selling, I am here to help you make the most informed decisions you can. I live in Cave Creek with my wife, Tonje and our 3 dogs. I met Tonje in the fall of 2004 and we clicked immediately. We share the same passion and interest for residential real estate, and our combined knowledge makes us even stronger. Tonje moved to Arizona from Norway in the summer of 2000. She quickly became interested in the real estate market and has been rehabbing and flipping homes very successfully for the last 5 years.
